In the name of God
I Jamsheed Sabet Rasekh born in 1958 in an agricultural family and specialised in making iranian traditional musical instrutment in a historical city of Esfahan.
spe From early childhood had interest in handicraft. Specially lranian traditional musical instrutment. At school. when I was told to do handicraft. I would make small Iranian traditional instrutment and pass (with good marks). I studied my primary section at Feraydhan and for further education I went to Esfahan. With my coming to Esfahan I faced lots of difficulties. Like being far away from home, had to work for my education. Study at night, being lonely. Besides all this work. I would do sketches and make ordinary musical instruments.
After finishing my military service, in the field of making musical instrutments, started doing research and took keen interest in the musical tone of violin and kamancheh then I went to Tehran and Shahrekord and met professors who had high knowledge and experience of this instrutment called Kamancheh and after my return to Esfahan in 1984 -1985 I started working on these instrutments. And for eight years I was busy making instrutments like kamancheh and setar, and after that I started making muscial instrutment Gheichak in different sizes, under the instruction of Mr. Farhadpur. Mr. Ardeshir Kahamkar. My Journey to Sisestan (Baluchistan) encouraged me to make these instrutment called Gheichak Superahno. Alto and bass which I made with full determination and difficulty.
I always enjoyed making Iranian traditional music and I wanted people especially Iranian people to know about the Iranian cultural music, because of this next to my work I started making the Rabab musical instrutment under the guidance of master, Bijan kahamkar and another Masters from Zaheedhan. In the field of renovating or maintaining musical instrutments like. Oud, violin, Tar I had lots of eager clients and I would help them out.
In order the youths to recognize and have more information about Iranian music, I set different musical exhibition on Iranian music traditional, musical traditions and how these instrutments are made. For I believe an Iranian should have a good and better knowledge of Iranian traditional music. At least they should know how these instrutments are made. Used and its history. At least they should know something about the Iranian arts and handicraft like muking tile making inlay (moaragh) working (a type of wood craft), wood carving, portaying (miniaturist) ,burning ,wood –joint arrangement,
Enamelworking , and other work of craft done with wood . Wood crafts like woodcarving , inlay(moaragh) working , and burning, with fine delicacy . is done on the traditional Iranian istrutments like Rabab, Kamancheh and setar, this above mentioned delicacy of the work is done by me. In order to do these work,I would work by myself alone in my own workshop, for this was my only occupation and no other accupation Idid beside this. In the lesson or the ficld of studying Thechnical drawing, Three view, partdrawing, curve drawing in different perspective that is in the technical school auto mechanic this education helped me a lot in my work.
I would like you to know from 1997 till now I took help from college students of pardis, education of arts in the field of handicraft, photography, graphic and professional renovation in historical Iranian traditional instrutment, and also I would help these students who would bring their work which is connected with Iranian traditional instrutment.
I would like to thank the following who helped and encouraged me in the sound and gave me experience in making Iranian traditional music tone and instrutment, they are as follows Mr. Ahmad Ebady who is no more with us, Mr . Mahmoud Tajbaksh. Mr. Bahari, Mr . Hasan Kasahee, Mr . Mehdi Azar Sina, Mr. Mohammad Mogadassi, Mr . Hadi Montazehri, Mr . Ardashir Kamkarr,Mr. Kamrahn Darugeh,
